The House Jan. 6 committee kicked off its final meeting by saying they were focused on "accountability" for those involved in the "multi-part" attack on the U.S. Capitol, saying it was the only way to prevent it from happening again.
The committee voted to make criminal referrals to the Justice Department for former President Donald Trump, lawyer John Eastman and unspecified "others": obstructing an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the government and inciting or assisting an insurrection.
