The Corruption of Powerlessness

Zionism emerged to address the corruption caused by powerlessness among the Jewish people. The constant need to appease those in power had taken a toll on the Jewish soul. Zionism sought to make Jews masters of their fate and regain their power. However, some Jews express unease with the rapid normalization of Jewish power, mistakenly believing that power corrupts Jewish morality. They long for the moral purity of powerlessness, but fail to recognize that powerlessness also corrupts. The challenge for present-day Zionism is to reconcile the need for power with maintaining moral integrity.
