Anne thought others might like her ‘less’ if they knew what had happened to her. She moved inside her head. She locked herself in an intellectual armour that let no one close to her heart … not even herself.

Anne didn’t realize it at the time but she felt like she had to prove that she had the right to exist. She chased diplomas and certifications, she got married, she had three children, and she built the white picket fence… but she still felt empty. She kept wondering what was wrong with her since she had it ‘all’. What it took her too long to realize was, she had nothing to prove to anyone! All she had to do was find a way to be loving towards herself.
