Meet the guest: Dr. Gail Kuhlman, a retired Technical Fellow in Companion Animal Nutrition, boasts over 30 years of experience with leading companies like Mars Petcare and Procter & Gamble. She holds a PhD in Animal Nutrition/Immunobiology from Iowa State University and has been instrumental in pet food formulation and nutrition research.
Meet our hosts: Dr. Julia Pezzali, an Assistant Professor at Kansas State University and Pet Food Program Director, specializes in companion animal nutrition and pet food processing. She earned her DVM from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and her PhD in Animal Biosciences from the University of Guelph. Dr. Anna Kate Shoveller earned her B.Sc. in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph and her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Alberta. She is now a Professor at the University of Guelph, focusing on comparative nutrition, amino acid metabolism, and macronutrient partitioning in various species.
