Rick Curtis has served as Director of the outdoor education program at Princeton University for 40 years. He has utilized small group experiences in the outdoors for team building, personal growth and leadership development for tens of thousands of students. He has helped people develop their skills in the outdoors through his book The Backpacker’s Field Manual, published by Penguin Random House and through his web site—OutdoorEd.com—which has been an online resource for outdoor education professionals since 2001. Rick has focused specifically on risk management and accident prevention and is the CEO and Founder of IncidentAnalytix, a cloud-based Risk Management Information System. He has consulted and lectured internationally on outdoor education and risk management for over twenty-five years.
