To discuss this complex and sensitive topic, this week we're joined by Dr. Thema Bryant a Licensed Psychologist, Ordained Minister, and the 2023 president of the American Psychological Association. In our conversation, we discussed why it is important for faith communities and psychological communities to align, how religious institutions can create more ethical standards to protect members from abuse, and how to navigate feelings of anger toward God after surviving abuse in the church.
