This week's guest is author, coach and NLP trainer, Jeremy Lazarus with whom I took a deep dive into the world of motivation - and not just your own motivation but also the motivation of others.
Jeremy has written 4 books, including one for sports coaches, athletes and players entitled Ahead of the Game. He began his career in the world of finance before realising that his true calling lay in helping people grow and develop and perform at their best. His work with leading sportspeople, e.g. English Premier League goalkeepers, has enabled him to teach others how to apply their mindset for success to other walks of life, including the world of work.
During our conversation, we unpack the role that motivation plays in achieving what we want and how managers and leaders can use this knowledge to build highly motivated teams.
We also explore how choice plays an important part in how we deal with setbacks and how we can ensure that no matter how we define success we don't neglect the financial aspects.
