Interview With "Only Murders in the Building" Costume Designer Dana Covarrubias

Break out the dips, Only Murders in the Building fans! We’re chatting with costume designer Dana Covarrubias about her incredible work in Hulu’s comedy-mystery hit series, which stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. If you’ve seen the show, you already know that every character has undeniable style! Dana (who also did the costumes on Life & Beth, Master of None, Claws, and Ramy) tells us about using inspiration from the Hardy Boys books for Only Murders Season 1 and Hitchcock for Season 2, creating the looks for the fashionable older ladies of the Arconia, the “sneaky ways” she used color and details to show the growing bond between the three leads, and so much more.
