Jeff Shaw-"Who I Am: The Man Behind The Badge"
Jeff Shaw was a police officer in South Florida for 24 years. Not long after retiring, he began writing a memoir on his career in law enforcement. The memoir is a collection on some of the most memorable cases he worked and how they affected him at the time, and how they still
affect him today. That memoir, Who I Am: The Man Behind the Badge was published in 2020.
He recently wrote a crime novel titled Lieutenant Trufant and it was published last March. Lieutenant Trufant is a police procedural novel that takes place in San Francisco. A serial killer is targeting homeless veterans and Lieutenant Trufant struggles to find the killer as his own life is spiraling out of control. He has two more novels in the last stages of editing, a sequel to Lieutenant Trufant, and a science fiction novel titled Echo Six.
When not writing, he spends his time reading, playing golf in the mountains of north Georgia, or just relaxing with his wife Susan. He is a member of the Atlanta Writer’s Club and Blue Ridge Poets and Writers.
His novel, Echo Six was a finalist in Killer Nashville’s Annual Claymore Awards and his short story Hans was a 2020 finalist in the Atlanta Writer’s Club annual writing contest.
