“You’re Only Responsible for the Effort You Put Into Whatever You Do.” This sentence has had tremendous impact in my life. And I hope it will become a sentence that you learn to live by! People who have bariatric surgery tell me they want to live at a healthy weight and have an improved quality of life. In order for that to happen, they need to develop a healthy lifestyle that lasts for the rest of their life! Too many people focus on reaching a goal weight rather than on learning to live a healthy post op way of life. Developing a healthy lifestyle and putting effort into that process has a number of benefits including feeling less pressure, having improved self-confidence, and experiencing more happiness along the way. Not to mention, focusing on today’s effort keeps people from falling into old habits that result in weight regain!
