The EdUp Experience President Series, Episode #4 - As the fifth President of Grand Valley State University, Dr. Philly Mantella is the first woman President in the history of the institution and she is one of higher education's leading entrepreneurs.  She is a recognized leader in strategic planning, market expansion, and innovation in the way education is delivered. Her innovative drive comes from more than 30 years in higher education administration. 

She has done path-breaking work while serving as an officer at public and private universities in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Massachusetts. In this episode, Dr. Mantella discusses her path to the Presidency at GVSU through operations, she highlights higher education fundamentals, and most importantly, the outside in look rather than the inside out views of institutional operations in higher education.
