Ep211 - From Survival Mode to Self-Love: Why Success Couldn't Heal His Trauma

For decades, entrepreneur and diabetes advocate Howard Steinberg appeared successful by every measure. But beneath the accomplishments was a relentless inner critic, childhood wounds, intergenerational trauma, and a deep longing to understand who he really was. In this powerful conversation, Howard shares the deeply personal journey behind his memoir, Confessions of a Problem Seeker: My Lifetime Journey from Busy Brain to Loving Heart. Together, we explore childhood survival patterns, the impact of being raised by Holocaust survivors, finding yourself after divorce and career loss, self-compassion, psychedelic healing, and why the path to wholeness begins by learning to sit with discomfort instead of running from it. If you've ever felt stuck in survival mode, join the conversation with host Hilary Russo and her guest and be kind to your mind.
