Today I have the pleasure of FINALLY getting to sit down and talk with Darren Roberts about building a culture and a community in the performance realm. After a brief run down of how he got to where he is, Darren dives into the world of action sports, their uniqueness, and how he has developed how he works with these men and women. This includes the role of Mario Cart, memorabilia, and Nerf Guns to help bring the training and rehab world to the world the athlete’s live in. We finish off discussing the role of autonomy and how he evolved more towards leaning on the athlete to have more ownership of the process to improve their development.
