Hamas's Long Game

Hamas's strategy in the ongoing conflict with Israel may appear insane on the surface, with no obvious hopes of conquering Israel or improving the situation for Palestinians. However, their capability and success in mounting coordinated operations suggests they are not simply crazy. The Iranian connection further adds to their strategic capabilities. Instead, it appears Hamas's objective is to weaken Israel's Holocaust narrative, gaining more militant supporters across the region. By creating civilian hardships in Gaza and influencing public opinion against Israel, Hamas hopes to achieve its long-term goals.
