Keith Richards on his time at the PFS and what comes next

This week the FTAdviser Podcast speaks to Keith Richards, the chief executive of the Personal Finance Society, who will be standing down at the end of this month after nearly nine years in the role.

During this time he was involved in the Financial Advice Market Review process, he established the PFS's pro-bono advice schemes and helped set up the European Financial Planning Association.

He joins FTAdviser digital editor Damian Fantato to discuss his time at the PFS and what comes next for the organisation and the advice profession.

They discuss the FAMR process, why it didn't live up to expectations and whether the government is likely to take another look into reforming the advice market. They also discuss the growth of professionalism in the advice sector and what it ought to focus on next. Richards also touches on the future of the PFS and seeks to reassure advisers over what might come next.
