96: Adeola Olagunju.
In this episode, host Bidemi Ologunde spoke with Adeola Olagunju, a longtime friend and professional visual artist who works across different media – primarily photography and video. We talked about how her relationship with art began while growing up in Ibadan in southwestern Nigeria; her journey into professional art which actually began when she initially tried to study engineering at LAUTECH; and what her unique methods of artistic expression have taught her about herself, other people and the world in general. She also shared her personal experience with cybersecurity and privacy; her militaristic approach to motivating herself just by showing up and being disciplined; and her ideas for anyone trying to embrace their artistic and creative sides, while keeping in mind all the cybersecurity risks that are prevalent nowadays especially in the art world. To wrap up, Adeola shared some of the things she likes to do outside of artworks and her favorite quote by William Shakespeare.
