Recovery from Religious Trauma with Dani Brooks

Had a weird experience with religion, spirituality or a church? I interview my therapist and friend, Dani Brooks on her experience being in a church, enduring religious trauma and spiritual abuse. Dani shares what religious trauma and spiritual abuse is, signs and symptoms of it and dives into her own experience. We discuss issues with fundamentalist thinking, purity culture, and how enduring this experience can change you. We spend time discussing self trust and why it is so important you do not outsource your own beliefs and values and what you can do to regain trust with yourself if you have lost it through trauma or another similar experience.
