Coach John Wooden said "Don't mistake activity for accomplishment." It strikes me how often I've confused the two. Sometimes, it's internal. My focus is just crossing off the easy things on my list, avoiding the things that will have real impact. Other times it impacts client work. It's so easy to get wrapped up in shipping deliverables that we don't spend the time / don't have the time to think about what all this activity is accomplishing.
