Calvinism asserts the unbreakable sequence known as the 'golden chain,' which describes the steps in salvation, beginning with God's foreknowledge and culminating in glorification. This chain consists of intertwined elements: foreknowledge, predestination, calling, justification, and glorification. Proponents argue that if one of these states applies to an individual, all subsequent states inevitably follow, indicating that salvation is guaranteed. However, this strict interpretation has been challenged, suggesting that the links may possess more flexibility and that not everyone in these categories will ultimately attain salvation.
