Rune Walk Part 4: Gebo, Wunjo, and Valkyrie Skögul

Welcome back nightbirds! In this episode I'm rejoined by David Payne and Lindsay Starke as we continue our coverage of the year-long Rune Walk, where we are spending twelve months with the twenty-four runes of the Elder Futhark and the thirteen valkyries of the Grimnismal.

On this episode, we discussed the runes Gebo (Gift) and Wunjo (Joy) and recounted our experiences with fierce, spear-wielding Skögul. We talked about some traditional meanings of these runes, along with our personal gnosis that emerged spending weeks with them and appkying them to the day to day of our lives, We talked about the healing that has come for some of us on this walk. We also talked about the importance of reciprocity and hospitality to these spirits, how to be generous without giving too much of ourselves, the wish as the magical intention, the ideals we reach for when striving to attain the highest version of our own fate, time fuckery, crushing your enemies, and so much more.
