Amber started her career working for well-known brands that operate in the state of neutrality when it came to presenting themselves in the media. As a South Asian woman, she knew firsthand what it feels like to be underrepresented in the world around her. 

As grew up with a publicist, she learned the power she had an expertise and realised that she didn't have to represent the brands that didn't care about who she was as a woman of color. At the age of twenty-four, she quit her job to freelance in search for a place that allowed her to work with brands that felt meaningful to her. And just before turning twenty-four in October 2001, she launched Azhar PR, where her desire to support those who feel underrepresented became her top priority.

Since taking that leap of faith, Amber has grown her business into a fully functioning agency and now works with budding entrepreneurs to get their own businesses off the ground.
