BIO
Victoria Burgess earned her Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago and is a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN). She currently is the CEO of Tactical Athlete Nutrition +Performance where she writes nutrition and performance programming for a variety of athletes, ranging from the weekend warrior to the professional athlete. Furthermore, she is an Adjunct Professor in the Human Performance and Nutrition department at Concordia Chicago & Parker University, where she teaches undergrad, grad, and doctoral level courses. She has an active role as a researcher in many sports science, performance, and nutritional studies with the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Prior to her career in performance and nutrition, she was a career Firefighter/Paramedic for 16 years in South Florida, proudly serving the City of Pompano Beach. Victoria is also a water sports athlete, holds a Guinness World Record in standup paddleboarding, and competes around the country in paddleboarding and surfing.
