Dana Claudat is a modern Feng Shui Master and founder of The School Of Intention Feng Shui Certification Program. In the last 15 years Claudat has pioneered her own approach to Feng Shui that is rooted in infinite possibility, creativity and empowerment. Rather than hope for lucky results and outcomes, she helps her clients to create them every day.
She's a Stanford-educated art historian with more than a decade of experience in design yet her approach to space is simple. She is a longtime mindbodygreen contributor and instructor (she may have had a hand in the hundreds of plants in mindbodygreen headquarters!), and her work has been featured in design and lifestyle publications around the world.

Dana and I had such a great conversation and I think you're going to love some of her practical tips to clear the energy in your home and life. Here are a few of my favorite ones:
- If you feel stuck, there's got to be something stuck in your home. A great way to move energy is by thoroughly cleaning. You'll want to sweep, vacuum and then mop with white vinegar, which is an excellent energy clearer
- Take care of the basic foundations of the house you live in, i.e. your body. Getting enough rest and nourishing foods sounds simple, but if you're not doing it your energy can become compromised.
- A great first step for changing the feel of a room is to change the light bulb. A next great step is to move lamps around and assess the feel and color of the room with new lighting. If you are eager to change paint color, try wearing and even eating that color for a while first to see how you feel.
- Color is healing and you'll want to pay attention to how you feel when you are around or wearing various colors.
