Empowering Strategic Action

Color of Change works to empower individuals by advocating for strategic action that influences policy and practices affecting Black communities. The organization was founded in response to systemic failures highlighted by events like Hurricane Katrina, emphasizing the necessity of making decision-makers accountable to Black constituents. By fostering a culture where those in power feel pressured not to disappoint the community, Color of Change actively pushes for change across multiple areas, including justice reform and economic equity. This proactive approach highlights the interconnectedness of societal issues and the importance of addressing them collectively rather than in isolation.
