Paul and Eve were not first-degree rebels. Each was a second-degree sinner. Eve had to be deceived into eating. Paul acted ignorantly and in unbelief. Each came to understand this and turned to God.

God confirmed Eve as Satan's Eden Adversary when he said I will put enmity between you two (Genesis 3:14).
God confirmed Paul as an apostle by appointing him to his service (1 Timothy 1:12).

With this understanding we can work our way through 1 Timothy 2:13-15 with full understanding.
