Dr Dominic Willmott is an Associate Professor in Legal and Criminological Psychology at Loughborough University in the UK and Adjunct Professor in Psychology at SWPS University in Poland. He has published his research widely, authoring more than 100 research outputs to date where he applies robust and innovative psychologically informed methods to evidence bias in legal decision making and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions designed to address these biases. He has received more than £5 million in research funding to carry out this research and is Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Criminal Psychology as well as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Justice is Now, a charity that aims to reduce the bias towards victims of sexual violence. He formerly served as Research Advisor to the UK Victim Commissioner (Dame Vera Baird) and is currently course leader for the Masters degree in Criminology at Loughborough University.
