In our world of sport performance there have been multiple pendulum swings. From the Olympic lifts, to Husker Power, to functional training, the list goes on and on. One that has been most active of late is the importance of specificity. In this week’s My Thoughts Monday I share some of the reflecting I have been doing of late when it comes to programming, and why I think we may have gone too far down the “specific” rabbit hole, and why this may be one of the things limiting us as a profession by preventing us to develop a true “role” in sport.
