Just in time for the US Open finals, evian, the official water of the US Open and Maria Sharapova took over a Circle Line Cruise boat to host New York City's first floating tennis court—and Racquet was there for all the action. Our cultural attaché (and former WTA Top 10 player) Andrea Petkovic hosted a "waterside chat" with the five-time Grand Slam champion and evian hydration ambassador, who discussed some memorable moments from her tennis career, including her transition to retirement and parenthood, how important it is to build a good team and the role hydration plays in winning on one of the world's most renowned tennis courts, as well as what she sees in the newest Slam winner, Coco Gauff.
