A chain represents something that tightly holds onto one's life. In biblical terms, a chain is often referred to as a stronghold. When we find ourselves entangled in these chains - whether it's bitterness, anger, substance abuse, or an eating disorder - we experience a sense of being trapped in an endless spin cycle. But Jesus came to break chains.
