The Chicago Blackhawks played in their home opener Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens. It was an exciting 2nd period that saw both teams score a pair of goal. Connor Bedard netted his 2nd of the season while Sam Rinzel scored his first career goal. It came down to the final minutes of the 3rd period with the teams still tied at 2. But again, the Hawks couldn’t net the game-winner, as Kaiden Guhle scored with just 16 seconds remaining to win it for the Candiens.
