Summary of St. Philip's Role in Gospel of John

St. Philip, one of the 12 apostles, is primarily known through the Gospel of John. In John chapter 1, we see Philip responding to Jesus' call by immediately bringing Nathaniel to Jesus. Throughout the Gospel, we see Philip's evangelistic nature as he seeks to bring people to Jesus. He is also concerned about the physical needs of others, as seen when Jesus asks about feeding the 5,000, and Philip expresses concern about the lack of food. Additionally, Philip plays an intermediary role when Greeks approach him to have an audience with Jesus.
