4: Jessie Nelson - What does equality look like and why does it matter?
Everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and heard in their fullest expression and Jessie Nelson is a badass advocate for exactly that, promoting equality and diversity in communities and businesses throughout the world. Identifying as gender fluid, Jessie has devoted their life to starting important conversations that create safe spaces for all people to come as they are.
In this wide-ranging discussion, we talk about what it feels like to come out of the closet, why pronouns matter, what 'being an ally' means, how society and culture influence gender roles, and a whole lot more. This was a fascinating and fun discussion and I learned a lot from Jessie. I am sure you will, too.
