We discussed DNA methylation, Dunedin pace study, immune age, extrinsic and intrinsic and even how my genes are in relation to obesity or whether smoking has been a part of my history (hint I have never smoked but my mum did during pregnancy and you can see that on my DNA methylation - wow) - mind you back then she was told it was healthy to smoke. Grrr.
We look to the future and why these tests are going to be a crucial tool in your arsenal of interventions to slow ageing.
By doing these tests regularly you can plot your trends, see how you are doing against your peers, compete against yourself, it's motivating to say the least.
I was super excited that my pace of ageing is up there with the best in the world at .69 of a year for every year I live which shows that much of my extensive protocol is working although I am having to claw back earlier damages done as an extreme athlete, overtraining for decades. Hmm that wasn't healthy but I had a ball.
