Parents' Humanitarian Work in the Garbage Dump

Growing up in Mexico City, Joy's parents dedicated themselves to humanitarian work, supporting those living in extreme poverty in the municipal garbage dump. Despite lacking financial resources, they brought teachers and doctors to help the community. Over time, they established essential facilities like a clinic, a school, public showers, and a dining hall within the dump, transforming the lives of its residents.
