Connie White, DDS, FAGD was installed as the president of The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) as president during its Annual Meeting in Chicago held November 8-10, 2019. Dr. White, who recently served as the organization’s vice president, has a long history of advocating for patients, and brings life-long passion, leadership and educational focus to this national role. White is currently the University of Missouri-Kansas City director of patient relations and assistant dean for community relations and communication. She earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1977 from the UMKC, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1981 from the UMKC School of Dentistry. After graduation, White was named associate professor of dentistry at UMKC and has held many leadership positions there, including team coordinator, chair of the Department of General Dentistry, chair of the dental school faculty, and interim associate dean for clinical programs.
