Today’s guest is Ph.D. neurophysiologist Dr. Kate Pate.

Besides her role as a neurophysiologist, Dr. Pate is an entrepreneur, researcher, coach, and humanist. She advocates for and educates military service members, veterans, and first responders on all aspects of health, emphasizing functional and non-traditional approaches to healing. Her primary objectives include helping others find the path to healing that works best for them, changing the narrative around how we discuss health in our communities, and ultimately, removing the stigma associated with diagnoses and asking for help.

Kate is also the founder of Coruna Medical, a military-specific medical device company that creates innovative solutions for administering medical care in austere environments. She has served on multiple Boards and worked with numerous organizations in the veteran, human performance, and psychedelic spaces, including the NFL, Heroic Hearts Project, Psychedelic Medicine Association, and SOFlete.
