For peritonsillar abscesses, sometimes you need imaging to make the diagnosis clear. Many turn to CT, but ultrasound offers an appealing alternative. This study looks at the implementation of a transcervical ultrasound protocol in a pediatric emergency department to see if it helps this population. https://www.ultrasoundgel.org/91 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31713253
