'Labour Councillors, the climate emergency – and we launch the GND Cllr support network!

This week on the show we are joined by 3  Labour councillors fresh off the back of their local election victories  Ekua Bayunu,  Emily Rowles and Linda Foley.  We discuss their  motivations of getting into local politics,  what power they think local government can hold and how we can be radical enough to tackle the climate emergency at a local level.

Today GM Labour for a Green New Deal launches the 'GND Cllr Support Network'. After speaking with progressive Cllrs, GM LGND have created a network of experts that are ready and willing to give advice and support on environmental matters as and when it is needed. The fight against Climate Breakdown is one in which we must all support each other and the GND Cllr Support Network is GM LGND's contribution to that fight.
