Richard Barrera was first elected to represent District D on the San Diego Unified School Board in 2008 and then re-elected by overwhelming margins in 2012, 2016, and 2020. Richard's focus remains on achieving equity and excellence for all students in San Diego, encompassing both traditional district schools and charter schools.
