Netflix's Adolescence and the rise of the youth social
Content warning: We discuss themes of violence against women and girls in this episode.
Rachel and Lucy lead the charge on Netflix's new youth-centred drama called Adolescence. The 4 part series follows a 13 year old boy accused of murdering one of his peers and unpacking what caused this awful event. Our hosts take us through the parts of the show that feel familiar to the youth work they have experienced and also the questions and alarm bells it brought up for them. We also take a look at the importance of having socials as part of your rhythm as a youth group and what that can bring to the young people you work with as well as the team you're part of. As usual, organised fun rounds off the episode.
