In todays episode I speak with Paula Benedi about the role the gut can play in anxiety. We start by talking about the gut-brain axis and its four components: the vagus nerve, the immune pathway, hormonal pathway and metabolte pathway.

We go on to discuss the importance of establishing healthy foundational lifestyle practices as a way to improve gut health and anxiety ranging from starting a mindfulness practice, through to forest bathing before diving in to some of the more specific interventions that can be considered such as psychobiotics - specific strains of probiotic that have been shown to positively influence our mental and emotional wellbeing.
