In this weeks episode of The Podcast I get to sit down and talk with Siena Men’s Basketball Coach Carmen Maciariello to discuss empowering athletes and the organization Coaches4Change. Carm and other college basketball coaches have started the group Coaches4Change which is an organization to help educate and empower athletes to help use their platforms to bring about social change. The 4 in Coaches4Change is representative of the 4 E’s: engage, educate, empower, and evolve. Although goal 1 right now is voter registration, each of those 4 e’s have a group that is working to help evolve, grow, and drive better conversations related to the issues that are seen when it comes to social injustice in the country today.
