Flow State Business Experiencing mother's guilt but killin' it in business?
Every mother can in some way relate to the concept of mum guilt, especially if you’re running your own business and are busy being a badass entrepreneur. I was asked recently about how I juggle motherhood while continuing to kick ass in business and I wanted to share a few of my thoughts around this topic of mother's guilt.
In this episode, I share about my own struggles of feeling guilty for not being there for all the drop-offs, all the fun, and for getting frustrated when the kids interrupt my flow. I talk about how although I’m not immune to mum guilt, I don’t stay there and how guilt is only as powerful as you allow it to be.
I truly believe that mother's guilt doesn’t have to stop you from killing it in your business. You may not be there 24/7, but the benefits of your kids seeing you work hard, be passionate and achieve your goals is also an incredible gift to give them. Don’t fuel the guilt, fuel the benefits and opportunities that lie within the space you are taking up in the world.
I hope this episode helps all you powerful mums out there. It’s a journey filled with ups and downs but I know there’s a place available to us where we can stand in our power, kill it in business while still providing the comfort and safety our children need.
