Women physicians face unique obstacles while progressing through their careers, navigating career advancement and seeking balance between professional and personal responsibilities. In addition, there remains a growing need for best practices at individual, institutional, and systemic levels for overcoming such physician gender inequities. Dr. Gin is a board-certified family medicine physician and associate professor at the department of family medicine and public health at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
