What we love about the 2009 Academy Awards is how it completely ignored The Dark Knight (aside from Ledger), and proceeded to nominated movies like The Reader for Best Picture. The 2009 awards marked a significant change in the Best Picture format, and we love how the Academy finally got around to nominating the superhero film Black Panther in 2019
