Ep #01 - Increase Repeat Sprint-Ability by 10X with Breath-Holding
Can you improve anaerobic repeat sprint ability by a factor of 10 with a simple breath-holding technique? A study published in 2018 by Woorons et al suggest that something as simple has holding the breath during anaerobic sprint training can improve performance by over 10 times compared to normal breathing with the same training.
In this podcast we take a look at the study from the European Journal of Sport Science, help you understand what the details from the study, what caused such profound adaptation and then look at the practical application of the results. I share with you my own experimentations with the technique and how I've been using it successfully with professional athletes I work with, so that you can see the same improvements in your own training.
