It’s key to remember that strength is the pre requisite to speed and power, and only then can we safely and effectively start to build our capacity for endurance. Unfortunately many longer distance athletes (10km plus) put all their focus on the endurance aspect, and ignore the foundations, leading to injury, inconsistent training and dissapointing performances.
