The Secrets to Thriving and Making An Impact with Tucker Wannamaker

Meet Tucker Wannamaker, co-founder of THRIVE IMPACT. Every nonprofit and its leader deserves to THRIVE as individuals, personally and professionally, so they can have the IMPACT our communities need from them. That's why Tucker is focused on helping nonprofit leaders energize their revenue, staff, boards, and stories through intensive coaching, experiential learning, fresh strategies, and the culture and mindset change needed to make it happen. Over the last 15 years, Tucker has been in a variety of mission-driven leadership roles including building an award-winning nonprofit marketing agency (that he sold), leading fundraising campaigns that brought millions in the door, years as an outside strategic revenue and change-management coach for nonprofits, and leading a start-up nonprofit through a challenging season of accelerated growth and onward to sustainability. A little more about this big-hearted entrepreneur...Tucker rides an old 1980 Vespa. He has four kids that are radical and loves taking them on bike rides and hikes (it's the native Colorado in him), along with seeing awesome museums in the District. Lots of focus on choosing your own reality and way of looking at life. Things We Learned From This Episode

1. Use extreme ownership - - - you can either 'have to do something' or 'choose to do something'. When you're in choice, you feel empowered, otherwise, you'll revert to a victim mentality. In truth, we always have a choice in how we want to respond and react.
2. Passion is currency. Find causes and areas you are passionate about and find ways to give, serve and add value.
3. Change your paradigm story and your beliefs, thoughts, and reality will change.
