Our food system is complicated, and there are many competing interests that determine which products end up on shelves for purchase. Marion Nestle was the Paulette Goddard professor of nutrition, food studies and public health at New York University. She was also a professor of Sociology at NYU and a visiting professor of nutritional sciences at Cornell University.
