曾在網際網路領域叱吒風雲的蔣顯斌，36歲生了場病後，發現公司不用他，就可以自己往前走，促使他開始探索人生下個十年想做的事：數位設計、書法、紀錄片，這3方向嘗試一年多後，發現「紀錄片」是最有進展和能量的一個路徑，加上從大學開始就愛看紀錄片，成為他的出發點和原動力，因此成立了CNEX紀錄片平台，來催生屬於華人的紀錄片。
